Febuary 2010

Just got this information from Ed (dad)............"Brent had a Cat Scan early am but we have not spoken to the neurologist yet and his condition remains critical but stable. His lungs have certainly improved. He will remain in a medically induced coma while his brain heals. Our Family thanks all of you so very much for your thoughts and prayers. Love the Sirignano Family"

Spoke to Ed (dad) and he wanted to let everyone that your prayers are appreciated. Signs and posters are decorating the walls of his room. Brent was stable through the night. His lungs, this morning, are BETTER which is good news. They have placed a feeding tube so he can get nutrition. All his other organs are working good. However, he wants everyone to know that Brent is in "survival mode" and the next 72 hours is critical. Please keep praying for Brent.

Febuary 8, 2010

Brent made it through the night and as expected his brain is starting to swell a little. The doctors anticipated this. They are taking excellent care of him at Mission Hospital. Mingie and Ed (his mom and dad) stayed at the hospital last night in a room right next door to the ICU.
Check back later for more updates. Thanks.....keep praying!

Brent is in ICU at Mission Hospital after being in a car accident yesterday. The doctors have performed surgery on Brent today by removing part of his skull to help with the swelling in his brain. He has had 2 collapsed lungs but his lungs are being treated and will hopefully heal. He has multiple head lacerations and fractures. He is in an induced coma to help his body recover.

They are not allowing ANY visitors at this time. The family asked for lots of prayers as the next 48 hours are critical. Cards, pictures, posters and banners are requested to decorate his room.

Please post any messages you have on this web site as the family will read them and Brent will too! Spread the word of the site and check back often for updates. This will help elevate misinformation as well as alleviate the family from too many phone calls.

Thank you so much!

Our Grandson Brent was in an accident

The afternoon of Feb 6th, Brent was a passenger in a car that lost control and hit a tree in Mission Viejo. He and the driver were taken to Mission Hospital. Thankfully, the driver was treated and released. However, Brent's side of the car took the brunt of the crash and he suffered multiple fractures to the right side of his face, a head injury and a collapsed lung. He is coming out of the coma and responding to verbal commands. Brent started to breath on his own and has now been taken off the respirator. They are looking at Rehab facilities where Brent can get the care he needs. Brent is awake and the therapists are working hard with him. It is uncertain how long and how much Brent will recover from these serious injuries. The family asks that you keep Brent in your prayers. Thank you so much!

Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas just around the corner!

I can't believe Summer is gone and Halloween in on it's way.

I know, where have I been?

Well as I'm sure you know our Beautiful New Grandaughter Annabelle Grace Flower, came a little early, 3 days short of five weeks to be exact, and with her having Spina Bifida she had to have two surgeries during her first week here. So needless to say things have been a little hectic at Nicole & Branden's, and I have been spending a lot of time with Jack and Ben, so much so that one day sweet little Jack said to me; "Grammy, I have to tell you something, but I don't want to hurt your feelings." I told him it was okay he could tell me anything. So he said, "I'm kinda getting bored with you, but I still love you!" Oh..... all day, everyday with Grammy for almost 2 weeks was a little too much and I was getting boring. I told him I totally understood. Now that things have gotten back to being kind of normal with only seeing me a couple times a week now I'm not so boring anymore. Yeah!

So, Like I said, Christmas is right around the corner. I was trying to figure out a way to make some extra money and I came up with this idea.
I can do quilt binding, and I have been told I do a nice job, so... if anyone has a quilt hanging around that just needs it's binding for it to be finished let me know. I haven't come up with a way to charge, by the hour or by the inch, I don't know. If you have any suggestions please share.
I think I'll make up some business cards.
So Please pass my name along if you know of anyone who could use my services.

Well, I hope you have a great week/ weekend.
