Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas just around the corner!

I can't believe Summer is gone and Halloween in on it's way.

I know, where have I been?

Well as I'm sure you know our Beautiful New Grandaughter Annabelle Grace Flower, came a little early, 3 days short of five weeks to be exact, and with her having Spina Bifida she had to have two surgeries during her first week here. So needless to say things have been a little hectic at Nicole & Branden's, and I have been spending a lot of time with Jack and Ben, so much so that one day sweet little Jack said to me; "Grammy, I have to tell you something, but I don't want to hurt your feelings." I told him it was okay he could tell me anything. So he said, "I'm kinda getting bored with you, but I still love you!" Oh..... all day, everyday with Grammy for almost 2 weeks was a little too much and I was getting boring. I told him I totally understood. Now that things have gotten back to being kind of normal with only seeing me a couple times a week now I'm not so boring anymore. Yeah!

So, Like I said, Christmas is right around the corner. I was trying to figure out a way to make some extra money and I came up with this idea.
I can do quilt binding, and I have been told I do a nice job, so... if anyone has a quilt hanging around that just needs it's binding for it to be finished let me know. I haven't come up with a way to charge, by the hour or by the inch, I don't know. If you have any suggestions please share.
I think I'll make up some business cards.
So Please pass my name along if you know of anyone who could use my services.

Well, I hope you have a great week/ weekend.

It's been a while.....

I know, I need to keep this up better, but I haven't done much to write about other than work and babysit. But those little guys are just so darn cute and say the darnedest things. Jack is such a little man and so "matter of fact" about everything. And Benjamin, well you would think he is from Missouri, everything is "show me". Anything that is talked about that he is not sure of. He says Show me!

Oh, I did go to Nicole's baby shower and it was awesome, she has such amazing friends. It was a great night of just visiting and desserts (all kinds) and NO games! YEA! She got a lot of sweet clothes and the video monitor she really wanted. She was so happy.

Speaking of amazing friends, I need to thank my own good friend Gail, I ran her ragged the Friday before the shower shopping for something for me to wear. (never easy)
THANK YOU GAIL!

Wow, I totally forgot, we did do something!
Fred and I went to Las Vegas and we had a really nice time. With a recommendation from my son Michael we stayed at Planet Hollywood, it was very cool and while we were there we took some free gambling classes. We learned Craps, Roulette and Pai Gow Poker. Then I sat at a table and preceded to lose $35.00 @ Pai Gow Poker. I'm not a quick study. One night we went downtown and saw "The Rat Pack is Back" they were funny and entertaining, after the show we walked down and enjoined the "Fremont Experience"!
After Vegas we drove to Arizona to see my sister Ginger. That was very nice as well, but HOT!

So, I guess I did have something to talk about, how about that.
Hope you have a great week or two and TTFN.

A Bird in the House....

Good Morning, I have had a very unusual morning so I thought I would share it.

Fred left for work very early today, @ around 4:30 this morning and I had a hard time getting back to sleep, so I ended up sleeping in till all most 8:30. Then when I did get up and make my coffee, I went to sit down in the front room and I saw dark flash out of the corner of my eye. When I looked in the direction I saw a small bird on my front door at the window. OH Great! When I got up he flew into the bathroom right there. So I quickly closed the door, then opened the front door and screen, then the bathroom door and went around to the other door to shoo him out. I thought it worked. Then came in to the computer and then heard a sound behind me, then again. Well it was my bird. So I thought I might try catch Him in a towel, but as I got close he flew into my room. Up on the back of the headboard of the bed, and when I got close he JUMPED! Down the BACK between the wall and headboard. Maybe 2-3 inches of space, Ashley (Our Cat who passed away 3 years ago) got stuck there when she was just a baby kitty. Scary! So, I closed the door and opened the sliding door and got a yard stick to see if I could help him up and he just fell down further, but that was good and he was able to come out. Then I lost him and thought he went back behind and when I went close to look he flew from under the edge of the bed out the door.

I am exhausted! But the bird is out. Too bad I didn’t get a picture.

My first post!

My wonderful daughter Nicole, (pregnant mother of Jack & Ben) started this blog for me.
I have no idea where she found the spare time, none the less I am very grateful and hope I can do her proud.
Thank You Sweetie!
However I'm not sure what to say. Well here goes.....
The weekend is over and I worked a bit both days but I did get to go to Knott's with Jack & Ben ( mom & dad too) for a few hours Saturday evening and had a great time. We have passes and it makes it so great to be able to just go for 3 hours (free parking time) and walk around, visit and enjoy the boys excitement. Just knowing you don't have to run yourself ragged because we can come again next week is the best. I will see if I can download a picture If not check out Nicole's Blog, she may have some there.
Have a great week and I hope I can keep this up.
